Background:
Metropolis is a world-class entertainment complex currently in the build-out phase. Key project members include: PCL Construction (Project Manager), Pen Equity (Owner), Baldwin & Franklin Architects (Lead Architects). Reprodux Ltd. fulfills all print requirements for the Toronto members. There are a total of 45 myplanroom .ca members for this project.

Project Issues:
Working Drawings: During the design stage issues arose while consultants were working from different versions of drawings - resulting in delays and increased print costs. (Pre-myplanroom .ca)
Shop drawing turnaround: Throughout this stage, delays were routine as project members relied on print submissions and couriers for shop drawings going out for approval.

The myplanroom .ca Payoff
Once all parties became myplanroom.ca users, they immediately eliminated the risk of using outdated versions of documents with Automatic Versioning Control. All members of the project team were now instantly notified of document updates and revisions by mass e-mail notifications. After notification, members were now able to download and view the documents they required 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Significant time savings were also achieved during the shop drawing submission process. With features such as Batch Upload and Drag n' Drop, documents were easily uploaded by users for viewing by other members, viewed in multiple file formats such as AutoCad, TIFF and PLT in one convenient interface. The PCL project team achieved a time savings of up to 4 days on the shop drawing approval process by eliminating needless print submissions, deliveries and by using key timesaving features found in myplanroom .ca.
